1994 Glock 17 Gen 2 9mm

I decided on a model 17 gen 2 for its classic look, and as featured in Half-Life 1.

I wanted a Glock for a while, and finally got one when it was heavily rumored that Glock was discontinuing all current models (gen 5) and replacing them with a new "V" series. This followed the passing of California law Assembly Bill 1127 which banned Glocks over full-auto "Glock switches". I worried the price on the previous gens could go up if people did not like the upcoming models. Or, additional legislation could prevent the sale of previous gens. "The ban specifically applies to semi-automatic pistols that have a cruciform trigger bar, which lawmakers say makes them easily convertible to machine guns with a device called a "pistol converter" or "switch"."
